Life is a parade. Join in.
I read a book once that talked about a guy who hosted a parade on his street every year for his neighborhood, and the only rule was, you couldn’t watch. Everyone had to participate.
When life becomes a parade you watch, before you know it, you start to feel a creeping sense of stuckness, because there is no movement. Watching for a little while and getting inspired is fine, but eventually, when you feel that little bit of energy stir in you, when you feel your heart swell, when you take that deep breath, you’ve got to move, you’ve got to join in the parade.
We’re all creators in one way or another, and even if the details are different, we’re all here to do the same thing, to create a life. The only question is, what kind of life do you want to create?
