Camp Site Bathroom
Dear Beautiful Humans,
I am literally writing this from the bathroom at my camp site, because it’s warm in here! I tried so many times today, literally starting from 7 AM to write you all, but in the most beautiful way, I kept meeting new people and running into old friends.
If you didn’t see on Instagram, I am currently in Telluride, Colorado! It’s my first time here. I came down to volunteer and be part of the Mountainfilm Festival, and it has been nonstop in the best way.
I started my morning at Ghost Town Coffee to sit and write you before my morning volunteer shift started, but then I met these folks!
And then literally, in every free moment I had to try and write you, serendipity kept working it’s magic.
I was literally trying to write on my phone while walking...
And then I ran into friends from Denver who happened to be in town, then an old friend from New Mexico, then I made a new friend...
Every moment of the day was filled with something that was asking me to lean in and pay attention. Even in the last minutes of the day, as my eyes started to drop at dinner with new friends, my spirit keep saying, “Lean in to the moment. Lean in to the moment. Stay present. You belong here.”
I am wonderfully exhausted and have one more day of volunteering tomorrow with an early talk in the morning. My eyes are tired. My heart is full. My spirit is challenged. My calling is stirring.
There is so much I could say, but now sleep is begging for my attention. So as this day closes I will end with this, a truth I am seeing unfold in my life that has been magnified here in a Telluride this week...
Spectacular things happen when you show up as yourself. Sometimes you don’t have to think about it. Sometimes you have to choose it. But the more you stop worrying about what other people think and show up in the fullness of yourself, you start to truly live. You come alive. You rise.
