118 | What Really Matters at the End of Life
Hello beautiful humans,
As I type this it is 4:58 am.
It may technically be Monday, but my body is still living at the end of the my Sunday! :P
Why on earth am I still awake, you ask?
I had a goal to upload my first official YouTube video this week. I shot it this afternoon, and well, the editing process has been … extensive. 🤣 I thought it would take a few hours, maybe four max. Nine hours later, I am typing my Sunday letter at 5:00am while I wait for the video to upload to Youtube. And can I say, it has been SUCH A FUN NIGHT!
The video is titled "What Really Matters at the End of Life". Though there are a hundred things I could have kept working on or wished I'd done, I wanted to finish it this week. Letting it go and be what it is was good practice in letting go of perfection.
In the video, I talk about how my 40th birthday was a catalyst for asking some big questions, one of which was, if I imagined being 80, how would I feel about the decisions I'm making right now?
Seeing as it's almost 5:30am now. I think I'll just leave you with the video for today's letter :)
Sending love your way,
Shel
A Few Things to Delight
This past week, I redesigned my website. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. It is now the hub of my digital world/connecting/sharing. I especially enjoyed making my "NOW" page.
Here are a few videos I enjoyed this week:
MADE ME SMILE --> A deer turned my harp session into a Disney movie
MADE ME TEAR UP --> Why Not Now?
MADE M PAUSE --> Helena Bonham Carter reads The Guest House by Rumi
