Denver-based independent artist Shelly Rollison’s music and voice have drawn comparisons to artists such as Norah Jones, Colbie Caillat, and Billie Holiday. While her guitar stylings lend to an acoustic/folk feel, her voice draws on soul and jazz roots as well, a genre Rollison admits she more naturally gravitates to when it comes to vocals.

Rollison spent 2014 playing shows in Denver with her band Shelters, an indie-alt-rock group started with Marshall Usinger of Be Still, The Earth. Shelters released an EP, All These Heavy Things, in 2014 as well. While the band had a short run, she credits the band with pushing her to take on music full-time and delve more into songwriting.

She spent 2015 getting her feet wet as a solo artist with a west coast house concert tour, playing in California, Utah, and Arizona, and ending the year opening for Joel Ansett at The Soiled Dove Underground.

In 2016, Rollison released her first solo EP, Mountains, which has a more stripped down sound to it, featuring Rollison’s voice along with a single guitar, acoustic and electric. 

Rollison has performed at a number of Denver's live music venues, including Larimer Lounge, Lost Lake, Lion's Lair, The Walnut Room, and The Underground Music Showcase, Denver's Largest Indie Music Festival.

Although Rollison is newer to the Denver singer/songwriter scene, her heartfelt lyrics and soothing voice are sure to turn heads and win hearts. She recently finished recording her first full band project, Cardiac Flashback, a 6 song EP set to release Spring 2018.
